6 years after the launch of their previous website, PORALU MENUISERIES wanted to refresh the image of their Kioneo Stores. The brief was to provide a more ergonomic website, user friendly for both desktop as well as for mobile devices. The design had to be simple, the information more accessible, and had to attract more visitors than the previous website. It was also identified that the design had to further incorporate the brand color : orange. The project went online in June 2018, 3 months ahead of schedule.
Orange is the new...
At first, I had to carefully chose the right tone of orange, which like yellow, if chosen poorly can leave the consumer with the wrong image of a brand. White and off-white backgrounds would make the identification of the content and the reading of text clear and simple. The menu was kept neat and simple so that the visitor would get the most important information right away : who, what, how and where to get the products. The construction of the pages is a classic layout starting with the more general leading to the more detailed information. The website is straight to the point, with a lot of visuals to set the brand apart from the competition.
